Datrium DVX Data Recovery
Datrium DVX is a disaggregated hyperconverged platform that separates compute from persistent storage: virtualization hosts run as Compute Nodes with host-local flash, while Data Nodes hold the persistent copy of the data. When a DVX or DVX 3.x (DVX3) cluster becomes unavailable, the data is spread across nodes in a proprietary layout and standard tools cannot read it.
Datrium was acquired by VMware in 2020, and many DVX deployments — including DVX 3.x — remain in production or have been decommissioned with data still resident on the hardware. WeRecoverData's engineers work with the individual drives from Data Nodes and Compute Nodes, reconstruct the DVX data layout and metadata, and extract virtual machine disks and file-level data. Every case is handled under a comprehensive evaluation before any recovery work begins.
