Military, Defense & Government UAV Data Recovery

Recovery evaluation for commercial and government UAS operators first, including defense users of public tactical and dual-use systems. Each case starts with a secure review of authority, data sensitivity and where the data was recorded.

Before you ship anything

You must confirm authority to release the equipment and identify any classified, CUI, export-controlled or encrypted data before shipment. Recovery is not guaranteed and not every military platform is supported.

Three review scopes

Every request is placed in one of these scopes before any equipment moves.

Public tactical and dual-use sUAS

Normal secure evaluation, subject to media condition, encryption and confirmed authority to release the equipment.

Large program UAS (e.g. MQ-9, RQ-4)

Institutional or program-level review only. There is no standard supported-model promise for these systems.

Classified or restricted systems

Do not ship. A secure eligibility and handling review is required first; shipment is not solicited.

What is evaluated

Removable mission media

SD, microSD and removable SSD media from aircraft, payloads and ground equipment.

Embedded flash

Internal storage in aircraft, cameras and controllers, accessed from the board when the device will not power on.

Camera and EO/IR payloads

Electro-optical and infrared payload storage where recordings are kept on the payload itself.

Controllers

Hand controllers and tablets that store video, snapshots or mission files.

Ground stations

Ground control station drives holding recorded video, mission plans and logs.

Telemetry and flight logs

Log files present on submitted media are recovered as files. We do not interpret or reconstruct flights.

Public tactical and dual-use manufacturers

Listed models are supported for evaluation of available recording media and associated devices. Recovery depends on data location, media condition, encryption, and whether the requested data remains present.

Government and defense variants of commercial aircraft

Parrot ANAFI USA GOV and MIL, and Skydio X2D and X10D, are grouped on their manufacturer pages.

Service area

This service is offered in the United States. Eligible international cases require case-by-case export and handling review.

Frequently asked questions

Which military and government drones can be evaluated?
Public tactical and dual-use small UAS listed in the manufacturer catalogs on this page. Listed models are supported for evaluation of available recording media and associated devices. Recovery depends on data location, media condition, encryption, and whether the requested data remains present. Large program UAS and classified systems are not covered by a standard supported-model listing.
What must we confirm before shipping equipment?
That you have authority to release the equipment, and whether any classified, CUI, export-controlled or encrypted data is present. Classified or restricted systems must not be shipped before a secure eligibility and handling review.
Do you decrypt encrypted drone storage?
No. Encryption can limit what is recoverable. Authorized credentials, keys and paired devices must be preserved and identified during the case review.
Do you accept international government cases?
Service is focused on the United States. Eligible international cases require case-by-case export and handling review before any shipment.

Data Recovery Guarantee

If we cannot recover the data identified as required for your case, you will not be charged a recovery fee.

Request a secure case review

Describe the system, the media involved and any sensitivity markings. Do not ship equipment until the review confirms eligibility and handling.
