I highly recommend $300 Data Recovery! I dropped a portable drive with very important files on it and researched the options. I decided to go with $300 Data Recovery and I'm really glad I did. There communication was prompt, honest, and clear. They recovered all my files. It was a large drive (6 TB) so they charged me 500 plus a few hundred for a 6 TB transfer drive and prioritized recovery and delivery. Very reasonable - cheaper than any other option out there! Be sure and follow their (clear) instructions for mailing your broken drive to them.
The person working on my case was in constant contact and explained in detail what needed to be done with my equipment to retrieve data. They were very upfront with everything, including pricing, and always gave me the option on whether to proceed.
