Autel Robotics Drone Data Recovery
Recovery of Autel Robotics footage, stills and thermal captures from the camera media, payload or controller that held them — evaluated against the aircraft's hardware generation and fitted camera.

Recovery brief
Recovery brief
- Where data may reside
- microSD on EVO Nano and consumer EVO Lite; camera media on EVO II by V1/V2/V3 generation; payload media and ground-station files on Dragonfish; controller copies on Enterprise and legacy EVO/X-Star.
- What customers typically need
- Visible-light and thermal imagery from EVO Lite Enterprise, EVO Max and 640T cameras, RTK mapping imagery with its mission files, and legacy EVO or X-Star recordings.
- The Autel Robotics constraint
- Recoverability is tied to the installed camera and hardware revision, so an unlabelled EVO II must have its generation established first.
Media path
Where the data can live
Where an Autel recording can sit. Each source applies only where the catalog documents it for that model.
microSD card
EVO Nano, consumer EVO Lite and Dragonfish DG-T5/DG-T5L
Camera / payload media
EVO II 6K Pro and 640T cameras; Dragonfish payload recording media
Ground-station files
Dragonfish ground-station files, separate from the payload
Controller & app copies
Enterprise and legacy EVO/X-Star controllers; phone or app copies
Before you send
What to submit
- The microSD card or camera media, even if it appears empty
- The aircraft with its label visible, so the EVO II generation can be confirmed
- The fitted camera or Dragonfish payload
- The controller or ground station if it may hold a copy
- The model name and a short note of what happened
Directory
Supported systems
Listed models are supported for evaluation of available recording media and associated devices. Recovery depends on data location, media condition, encryption, and whether the requested data remains present.
43 models in 9 groups
EVO III and Alpha
3
Manufacturer-documented aircraft/configurations; no representation of prior WeRecoverData lab validation.
EVO Max
5
Aircraft versions and installed Fusion camera should both be recorded at intake.
All systems in this group: Imaging files and associated media; camera and aircraft revision matter.
EVO Lite Enterprise
2
Premium Combo is a kit configuration, not another aircraft model.
EVO II camera drones
11
V1, V2 and V3 are hardware generations. V3 is not a universal suffix for every historical EVO II camera. Store the actual label and camera model.
EVO II Enterprise
5
Earlier Enterprise models are documented in V2 manuals; do not invent a V1 Enterprise permutation. Rugged/Enterprise Bundle labels are kits.
EVO II RTK
6
Manufacturer support distinguishes V1/V2/V3. Check the aircraft label before assigning a generation to an unlabelled older case.
Dragonfish
4
Recovery concerns the actual payload, recording media, aircraft logs or ground-station files. Aircraft model alone does not identify every recorder.
EVO Nano and consumer EVO Lite
4
Standard/Premium bundles and colors do not create separate aircraft models.
All systems in this group: microSD recordings; include any separately saved phone/app copies.
Legacy EVO and X-Star
3
Discontinued product support pages remain useful for identifying historical aircraft.
Process
How the case is handled
- 01
Identify where the requested data was recorded.
- 02
Inspect the media or device that holds it.
- 03
Report what data is recoverable.
- 04
Recovery proceeds only with your approval.
Questions
- Why does the EVO II generation matter?
- Autel ties recoverability closely to the installed camera and hardware revision. EVO II aircraft exist in V1, V2 and V3 generations, so we establish which one you have before evaluating the media.
- Where does a Dragonfish store its data?
- The payload recording media, aircraft logs and ground-station files are separate. We identify which of them holds the requested data; DG-T5 and DG-T5L payloads use microSD.
- Can deleted or formatted Autel cards be evaluated?
- Yes. Deleted or formatted microSD media from consumer EVO models can be evaluated; stop using the card so the requested data is not overwritten.
Catalog checked against manufacturer documentation. Source-backed aircraft and meaningful camera/hardware configurations from current and legacy official catalogs. Supported models means available for technical evaluation, subject to actual media, damage, overwrite and encryption; it does not claim successful recovery from every listed model. No claim that every regional SKU, prototype or custom payload is cataloged.
Excluded or unverified: Kestrel: documented as a CES prototype/concept in the official 2017 announcement; no verified generally supplied production model in this audit, so not listed as a routine supported aircraft.; EVO Nest, Dragonfish Nest, repeaters, controllers, antennas, gimbals, batteries and care plans are accessories/ecosystem products, not extra aircraft models.; No EVO II 8K V3, EVO II Dual 320 V3, EVO II Dual 640R V3, or EVO II Enterprise V1 added without configuration-specific evidence.; Autel EVO III regional radio variants, specialized custom platforms and payload permutations require case-specific identification; no invented retail model names..
