DJI Drone Data Recovery
Recovery of original footage and captures from DJI camera, cinema and enterprise aircraft — from microSD, onboard storage, PROSSD or the fitted Zenmuse payload, depending on the model.
124
models listed for evaluation
Recovery brief
Recovery brief
- Where data may reside
- microSD in the aircraft camera; onboard storage on Mavic, Air, Mini, compact and FPV models where DJI documents it; PROSSD on Inspire cinema setups; the fitted payload on Matrice aircraft.
- What customers typically need
- Original camera footage and stills — distinguished from goggles or app copies — plus enterprise mapping, inspection and thermal captures.
- The DJI constraint
- Matrice aircraft record to the fitted Zenmuse camera or payload, not the airframe. Not every model has every source.
Media path
Where the data can live
Where a DJI recording can sit. Each source applies only where the catalog documents it for that model.
Aircraft storage
Onboard storage where documented, from 42GB internal storage to a 1TB onboard SSD
microSD card
Aircraft camera card, including RGB and thermal enterprise cameras
Payload / PROSSD
Zenmuse payload on Matrice; PROSSD on Inspire cinema configurations
Controller & app copies
Goggles recordings, controller data and paired-phone copies
Before you send
What to submit
- The microSD card, even if it appears empty or unreadable
- The aircraft — powered off, especially after a crash or water exposure
- The Zenmuse camera or PROSSD, for Matrice or Inspire cases
- Goggles, controller or phone if they may hold a copy
- The model name and a short note of what happened
Directory
Supported systems
Listed models are supported for evaluation of available recording media and associated devices. Recovery depends on data location, media condition, encryption, and whether the requested data remains present.
124 models in 16 groups
Enterprise Mavic and agricultural imaging
9
Commercial camera models. Manufacturer documentation verifies model identity and selected storage facts; it does not establish recovery success.
Matrice modular enterprise platforms
12
Do not imply that all payloads are interchangeable or that the airframe contains the requested images.
All systems in this group: Identify the fitted camera/payload and its recording media; aircraft logs are a separate request.
Matrice integrated cameras and dock aircraft
10
DJI Dock, Dock 2 and Dock 3 are ground stations, not drone models. Regular M30/M30T aircraft are distinct from Dock Versions.
Mavic camera drones
11
Controller bundles, Fly More packs, battery packages and cosmetic editions are not counted as additional drone models.
Air camera drones
5
Include both Mavic Air naming and later DJI Air naming in visible copy.
Mini camera drones
9
Model naming is preserved; Mini SE, Mini 2 SE and Mini 4K are distinct.
Compact, vlog and entry camera drones
6
Global product and support pages include models absent from DJI's current US camera menu.
FPV and immersive camera drones
4
Goggles footage can differ from the aircraft original; availability and quality require evaluation.
Phantom camera drones and original platforms
15
Plus-controller and Obsidian editions are merged as aliases. Phantom 4 RTK and P4 Multispectral appear in the enterprise imaging group.
Inspire cinema drones
6
Zenmuse camera and SSD names belong in a separate recording-systems section, not as additional aircraft.
AGRAS MG agricultural drones
6
Agricultural service requests may concern operation records rather than photographs or video. Storage and access require case-specific review.
All systems in this group: Evaluate identified operational records or controller data; do not assume navigation-camera video was recorded.
AGRAS T agricultural drones
16
Current and historical regional models are included when DJI documents them. T200 is held in the unverified-release list below.
All systems in this group: Evaluate identified operational records or controller data; do not assume navigation-camera video was recorded.
FlyCart delivery drones
2
Delivery aircraft do not automatically provide recoverable camera footage. FlyCart 200 is held in the unverified-release list below.
Legacy Wind and Spreading Wings platforms
9
Legacy aircraft/airframes are covered for identifying actual recording components. No universal onboard-camera storage claim.
All systems in this group: Identify the fitted camera/payload and its recording media; aircraft logs are a separate request.
Flame Wheel airframe kits
3
Airframe kits are not integrated recording drones and should be visibly labeled as custom-build platforms.
All systems in this group: Airframe kit: identify the third-party camera, recorder or flight controller actually installed.
DJI Education
1
Standard Ryze Tello and Tello EDU belong in a Ryze/Tello catalog; the DJI-branded RoboMaster TT is included here.
Process
How the case is handled
- 01
Identify where the requested data was recorded.
- 02
Inspect the media or device that holds it.
- 03
Report what data is recoverable.
- 04
Recovery proceeds only with your approval.
Questions
- Where does a DJI drone store footage?
- It depends on the model. Many camera drones document internal storage alongside microSD, Inspire cinema footage can sit on DJI PROSSD, and Matrice aircraft record to the fitted Zenmuse camera or payload rather than the airframe.
- Is the footage in the DJI app the original?
- Not always. Goggles and app copies can differ from the aircraft original, so we identify which location held the recording before any recovery work.
- Can you recover data from AGRAS or FlyCart aircraft?
- They can be reviewed. Requests for these aircraft often concern operation, controller or mission records rather than video, and a live navigation feed does not establish that video was saved.
Catalog checked against manufacturer documentation. Broad, source-backed inventory of publicly documented DJI aircraft and substantive variants across current, historical and regional product lines. Intended website label: Supported models — recovery evaluation. A listing confirms acceptance for technical evaluation of the actual data-bearing media, not lab testing of every model or guaranteed recovery. Hardware, encryption, damage, recording settings and overwrite can limit recovery. Commercial availability and storage specifications vary by region. Model identity is documented; commercial-release confirmation for T200 and FlyCart 200 remains unresolved. This is not a claim that every production revision or custom build ever existed has been exhaustively enumerated.
Excluded or unverified: DJI AGRAS T200 (Named in DJI's support/download and registration tables, but an accessible commercial launch/product page and release date were not verified during this research. Hold out of the supported released-model display until confirmed.); DJI FlyCart 200 (Named in DJI's official registration table; publicly accessible commercial-release confirmation not found. Hold out of supported released-model display until confirmed.); Rumored successor models (Do not create a model from a leak, guessed naming progression or third-party rumor.); Accessories and payloads (DJI Dock stations, Zenmuse cameras, DJI O3/O4 Air Units, goggles, controllers, PROSSD/CINESSD, gimbals, batteries and flight-controller modules are not aircraft. Discuss actual data-bearing components separately.); Cosmetic and bundle variants (Fly More, RC-controller, battery, paint and regional sales packages are merged unless the aircraft itself has a material storage/camera difference.); Minor production revisions and custom builds (Not every internal hardware revision or custom Flame Wheel/Spreading Wings configuration is individually enumerable from public manufacturer records.).
